Plenary six: The Challenge of being a patient
Nicola Kirkham works as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Rotorua Hospital and due to a cycling accident, recently ended up experiencing the patient side of the healthcare system. She enjoys mentoring others and has just completed her PgDip in Health Sciences at the University of Auckland.
Nicola is a former World age group 24hr Mountain Bike Champion and has a passion for the outdoors. She is a keen trail runner and adventure racer. In her spare time you'll find her climbing mountains and running trails with her border collie or supporting local events as a medic.
